Line of Sight Shielding
Line-of-sight shielding: Similar to eximo shielding which is only available for small pumps, i.e. 25S, 45S, and 75S. The line-of-sight shielding on the other hand is available for pumps from 100 to 1200 l/s. It reduces the amount of charged particles coming from out of the pump and going into the vacuum chamber where they could interfer with the customer's experiment. Eximo- and line-of-sight shielding have the same purpose. It is completely different from the glow discharge screen.
